Retr-O.E. Day 1/2

DAY1

Well first day went by without any major dramas. I arrived in Brisbane at about 8.15am after a 3 hour flight, and customs officials were having a strike, which meant being held up for a further hour. The first thiong i noticed was the warmth. When I had left NZ it was raining quite heavily, when I land yes there is a storm brewing but its warm. I proceeded to sweat buckets on my way to the backpackers I was staying at.

I had a shower, then headed off to Chermside to check out Gametraders in the Westfield mall there. Write up coming on that after I've done the EB Expo. Needless to say, its a great store, and one of the few places to do it right. They stock both old and new games at reasonable prices that do not blow a hole in your wallet!

After GT, I went back to bunk and had a few hours nap (I'd been up since 4am NZ time and had onloy had 2 hours sleep prior), then headed to Mana Bar, one of two video game cocktail bars in the southern hemisphere (both Mana Bars) and had an awesome time. I have plenty of photos to upload and a writeup to do.

DAY2

I'll add this now as it is quite short. The day was literally spent travelling to GC and finding my way to my backpackers. Unlike the previous night with a roonm of loud drunks, Im coincidently bunked up with two people heading to the EB Expo which is nice, as it means I have some people to talk to!
